SAN ANTONIO (May 01, 2006)--Councilman Art Hall has appointed Yellow Checker Operations Manager Miguel Constancio to the Convention & Visitors Commission. This prestigious board discusses and then advises City Council on matters related to tourism, conventions, hotel occupancy, hotel tax revenue, city marketing, etc.
Councilman Hall also appointed General Manager Mike Barnard to the Transportation Advisory Board. Councilman Chip Haass appointed George Alva, an independent contractor driver at Yellow Checker Cab, to the Transportation Advisory Board.
The Transportation Advisory Board considers matters related to taxis, limos, charters, and horse carriages, and then advises City Council of their recommendations.
