San Antonio (October 11, 2010) – Two of Yellow Cab’s taxis turned bright pink during October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“The eye-catching pink cabs, which carry signs on the back featuring the distinctive pink ribbon and the dates of Breast Cancer Awareness month, will serve the entire Greater San Antonio area at all times of the day and night, keeping the issue in front of San Antonio’s visitors and residents,” announced John Bouloubasis, President of Yellow Cab. “Our company is proud to support the San Antonio affiliate of the Susan G. Komen foundation, the organization that works so tirelessly to provide support to people whose lives are affected by breast cancer and to raise funds to find a cure.”
The company has made a financial contribution to the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and plans to participate in its 2011 Race for the Cure. “Good corporate citizenship is one of our core values,” said Mr. Bouloubasis.
Because the pink taxis will be in high demand, passengers who request a “Pink Ride” may experience longer than normal wait times.
