Yellow Cab Manager and Driver are selected to serve
on C&V Commission and City Transportation Advisory Board
SAN ANTONIO (May 01, 2006)--Councilman Art Hall has appointed Yellow Checker Operations Manager Miguel Constancio to the Convention & Visitors Commission. This prestigious board discusses and then advises City Council on matters related to tourism, conventions, hotel occupancy, hotel tax revenue, city marketing, etc.
Councilman Chip Haass appointed George Alva, an independent contractor driver at Yellow Checker Cab, to the Transportation Advisory Board.
The Transportation Advisory Board considers matters related to taxis, limos, charters, and horse carriages, and then advises City Council of their recommendations. George Alva replaced independent contractor Dale Strippelman on the board, whose term had expired. "We appreciate all of Dale’s hard work over the five years he served," said John Bouloubasis.
