MEDIA CONTACT: Yellow Cab wins 2008 Best Print Promotion Award at San Antonio, TX (October 23, 2008) – – Yellow Cab has received the 2008 Best Print Promotion Award in the Taxicab Limousine and Paratransit Association’s Outstanding Promotional Literature Award competition, in the category of taxi service, professionally developed literature. The winning entries will be on display and the awards will be presented at the association’s annual convention in Tampa, Florida, October 27 – 30, 2008. “We are honored that the judges selected our brochure for Best Print Promotion,” said Yellow Cab president John Bouloubasis. “One side of the full color card shows airport and downtown fare estimates and the other side provides information about our taxi service, with a photo depicting our wheelchair accessible taxis.” “We place these brochures in visitor information racks at both airport terminals and at all major downtown hotels,” explained Mr. Bouloubasis. “The cards are eye-catching. Tourists definitely find the cards useful -- we have to restock the information racks about every three weeks. This piece has been a real business builder for the independent contractor drivers at our company.” Lisa Chernow, a graphic designer in Austin, Texas, created the first iteration of the rack card about five years ago and continues to update the card before reprinting it as information changes. “We’ve distributed tens of thousands of these cards over the past five years,” said Mr. Bouloubasis.
