Roman Martinez Named President of Texas Taxi

San Antonio, TX (Dec. 9, 2009) – Roman Martinez has been named president of Texas Taxi. Texas Taxi is the parent company of Greater San Antonio Transportation Company and Yellow Cab San Antonio, San Antonio’s largest provider of taxi services. Texas Taxi also has operations in Houston, Galveston, and Austin. Mr. Martinez conceptualized and launched Taxis Fiesta in Houston with Greater Houston Transportation Company in 1984. All staff and independent contractor drivers at Taxis Fiesta are fluent in both English and Spanish. The company is well known for its community involvement and especially its support of Houston’s Spanish-speaking community. Until his recent promotion, Mr. Martinez was president of Taxis Fiesta.  He also served in the Texas House of Representatives.
